Luiz Ludwig

Luiz Ludwig brings a background of industrial design and visual communication to the school. His work looks at the intersection of data, design, and art through interactive data installations, graphic design, and artistic visualizations. Ludwig has published two books and participated in several exhibitions as an artist and co-curator — including twice at Oi Futuro’s Art and Technology Institute in his native Brazil. Prior to WashU, he served as adjunct faculty at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial design. Ludwig holds a Master of Fine Arts in graphic design from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a doctorate in visual arts from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
