Making Microclimates in Raidhungi

In the high valleys of Himalayan Nepal, yarstagumba is gathered during the early spring. Seasonal camps in high alpine valleys like Raidhungi, high above the tree line, run low on fuelwood. New walls made from rockfalls build microclimates for fuelwood production focus centered on existing boulder fields.
