Zhang awarded Pamphlet Architecture competition first prize
Catty Dan Zhang (MArch11) was awarded first prize in the Pamphlet Architecture competition. She will receive a $5,500 honorarium and publication in Pamphlet 37 for her proposal Active Atmospheres: On Instruments and Protocols for Medium Hybrids and Architectural Voids, which “explores applied visual techniques that challenge conventional definitions of tools, measurements, and material forms.”

Associate professor Mary Ruppert-Stroescu (area coordinator for fashion design) and student Mackenzie Llewellyn were interviewed Thursday morning between 9 and 10a on KTVI/Channel 2 about the 93rd Annual Fashion Design Show. The event was live streamed on YouTube.
Allen comments on Saint Louis Symphony's planned expansion

Master of Urban Design released Global Urbanism Studio Dispatch
The Master of Urban Design program recently published the Global Urbanism Studio Dispatch. The newspaper-style publication, edited by senior lecturer Jonathan Stitelman, features student work and essays from faculty and collaborators in the annual Global Urbanism Studio.
Bremehr, Erickson and Wu featured in NARS Foundation exhibition
Texts and Soundings: The Image Talks Back features seven artists and collectives that probe the ways in which reality is constructed by language and conjured by voice. Featured artists include Jessica Bremehr (MFA-VA21), Ryan Erickson (MFA-VA21), and others. Curated by WashU alum Jenny Wu, the exhibition is on view through May 20.
