Hauft's Major New Exhibition Opens at MASS MoCA
On March 12, a major new exhibition by Amy Hauft, director of the College and Graduate School of Art and the Jane Reuter Hitzeman and Herbert F. Hitzeman, Jr. Professor of Art, opens at MASS MoCA. 700,000:1 / Terra + Luna + Sol will make visitors palpably aware of their relationship to the curve of the earth and our distance from the moon. The installations will be on view through July 2023.
NY Fashion Week Features Alum Miller
Maggie Miller (BFA21) had her New York Fashion Week debut this year as part of Flying Solo’s show, “Ones to Watch.” Miller’s collection included new works as well as pieces developed as part of her Sam Fox School capstone collection, Kryptography.
McCarter Interviewed for Archidogs Website
Robert McCarter, the Ruth and Norman Moore Professor of Architecture, was recently interviewed by Qi Shen, editor of the Archidogs website. Subtitled ‘Context’ and ‘The Space Within’ rather than ‘Command’ and ‘Style’, the interview is published on the website in Chinese.
Brown Presents USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter Educational Program
Assistant professor Wyly Brown will deliver a presentation titled Designing Housing to Adapt to the Changing Needs of Families, Neighborhoods, Cities, and our Natural Environment online from 5:30-7p CST March 8 for the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter Educational Program.
Video Work by Ćosić Premieres at Live at the Pulitzer
As part of St. Louis Symphony: Live at the Pulitzer, which features contemporary chamber music performed in response to the art on view, Zlatko Ćosić (MFA-VA11) will debut the video work 2nd Nature. The event will take place at 7:30p in person March 8-9 at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation.
