Graduate Architecture Degree Project Technical Workshops

The Sam Fox School will host Graduate Architecture Degree Project Technical Workshops March 7-10. The workshops are designed to assist and expand the design knowledge of each Degree Project student by working with them individually at conceptual level to increase the technical aspects of their project.
Led by renowned architectural engineering professors around North America, the workshops focus on ecological, environmental, and technological issues of the contemporary world. This semester’s workshops feature:
Nina Sharifi, an assistant professor of architecture at Syracuse University, focusing on ecology and integration of architectural and environmental systems
Forrest Meggers, an associate professor of architecture at Princeton University, focusing on integration of architectural, environmental, and building systems
Yun Kyu Yi, an assistant professor of architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on computation and responsive robotics with integration of architectural systems
Marci Uihlein, an associate professor of architecture and director of undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on structural systems and building technology.
