Washington University honored Vicki Match Suna, AIA, with the Greater New York Regional Award at its annual dinner November 3. The honor recognizes WashU alumni in the Greater New York area who go above and beyond both with their time and financial support.
Match Suna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in 1980 and a Master of Architecture in 1982, both from Washington University. She is the executive vice president and vice dean for real estate development and facilities at New York University Langone Medical Center, where she has worked since 1994. She oversees strategic campus planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations of all NYU Langone Health properties, a portfolio of more than 13 million square feet. She is also an adjunct professor at NYU in the real estate program.
Match Suna’s longstanding engagement with Washington University includes serving as a member of the University’s Board of Trustees, the University’s New York Regional Cabinet, and the Sam Fox School’s National Council, which she currently chairs. She assisted Leading Together: The Campaign for Washington University as a campaign volunteer and was involved in the University’s East End Transformation project, serving on a committee that helped select an architectural firm and advised the design of the Sam Fox School’s Anabeth and John Weil Hall. She was honored with a Sam Fox School Award for Distinction in 2014 and a Washington University Founders Day Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016.
