Master of Architecture candidate Amir H. Toosi wins International Sculpture Center Award

Amir H. Toosi, a Master of Architecture candidate at the Sam Fox School at WashU, has been selected as a recipient of the International Sculpture Center’s 2026 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award for his work, “Sextant.”
The award recognizes emerging artists for outstanding achievement and commitment to contemporary sculpture. Toosi’s work will be included in the 2026 Student Award Group Exhibition at Soeffker Gallery at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, held in conjunction with the International Sculpture Conference, October 22–25, 2026.
Award recipients will also be featured by the International Sculpture Center and in Sculpture magazine. Toosi recently completed his MFA in sculpture at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is currently pursuing his Master of Architecture at WashU’s Sam Fox School, continuing his interdisciplinary practice across art and architecture.
