Stitelman published in International Journal for Digital Art History

Teaching Professor Jonathan Stitelman, together with Associate Professor Nathaniel Jones in art history and archaeology, published a peer-reviewed article in the International Journal for Digital Art History. “A Digital Experiment in Reconstructing Ancient Roman Perspective Spaces: First Steps Toward a New Model,” aims to accommodate conflicting source material on perspective construction. By considering the built environment paintings were produced in, the surface of the painted wall, and the fictive space it depicts, the research uses 3D modeling to reconstruct the original method today.
