Alum Kahlil Robert Irving shows work depicting Ferguson at MOCA Los Angeles

Khalil Robert Irving, MFA ‘17, is part of the new exhibition, “Monuments,” at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, on view now until May 3, 2026. The exhibition reflects on the histories and legacies of post-Civil War America by showing decommissioned monuments, including many with Confederate ties, alongisde contemporary artwork. Irving’s work — a large-scale bronze model of Ferguson, Mo., the day Michael Brown, Jr. was killed — was commissioned for the exhibition.
