Hendrix’s graphic novel on Tolkien, Lewis slated to become feature film

Professor John Hendrix, chair of the MFA in Illustration & Visual Culture program, will soon have a feature-length animated film to his name. His graphic novel, “The Mythmakers: The Remarkable Fellowship of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien,” is set to become an animated feature film with production company Burns & Co. and producer Aaron Burns and filmmaker Justin Strawhand.

“I am eager to see how the amazing team led by Aaron Burns translates that nostalgic wonder many of us share to a new audience, in a new medium,” Hendrix said. “As Lewis and Tolkien have taught us, art gets better in community, and I’m excited to share this story with a larger fellowship on the big screen.”
