Cynthia Weese receives Architectural Record Award

Cynthia Weese, FAIA, BS ’62/BArch ’65, dean emerita of the School of Architecture, will receive a Women in Architecture Design Leadership Award from Architectural Record this September. Weese, the first woman dean at WashU, served from 1993-2005. She founded architectural firm Weese Langley Weese in 1977, which has designed projects at the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and more. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from AIA Chicago in 2023 and is a member of the Sam Fox School’s National Council.
