Arno Goetz, BFA ’20, has published “To Be a Garden: Photographs from a year Believing in Rogue Landscaping Practices,” in collaboration with the Cranbrook Academy of Art. The collection of essays and photos covers on his land-based installation on the Cranbrook campus, the Annex Garden Project. The project involved pausing all landscaping operations in an 80-by-15-foot walled garden for a year and a half, leading to a significant increase in biodiversity.
Goetz is a Dallas-based artist with a focus on photography, printmaking, and mixed-media sculpture. His work explores the urban relationship to nature. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from WashU and a Master of Fine Arts in Print Media from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
