Sam Fox School artists win Society of Illustrators awards

Several illustrators with Sam Fox School ties have been recognized by the Society of Illustrators.
John Hendrix, chair of the MFA in Illustration & Visual Culture program; Ed Kinsella, lecturer; Noah Jodice, BFA ’17/MFA ’22; and Kruttika Susarla, MFA ’22, were each selected for the society’s prestigious annual show, Illustrators 67, at the Museum of American Illustration in New York.
Voted on by a prestigious international jury of renowned illustrators, art directors, and designers, the annual exhibition features the most outstanding works of the year by leading contemporary illustrators worldwide. After the exhibitions, the works will also be featured in the Illustrators Annual Book expected later this spring.
Additionally, Maddie Baker, MFA ’25, won a Bronze Award and scholarship from the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles for her illustration “Woman in Repose.” Baker was selected from more than 1,100 entries worldwide and will be featured in the online exhibition Illustration West 63.
Jodice received a silver medal for his “Peace & Light” animation, commissioned by the school in 2023.
