Jia Song
In this studio, Jia Song looks at the 5 typologies of pollinator gardens in the Wells-Goodfellow community: alley, vacant lot with basement, common vacant lots, parking lot, and pocket prairie. Establishing pollinator gardens in backyard spaces, planting taller vegetation along the perimeter to deter access to the contaminated soil, and planting drought-tolerant plants, ornamental grasses, and flowers will mitigate flooding as well as provide both ecological restoration and recreational space for residents.
