Megan O'Neill
Megan O’Neill earned an individualized studies degree in sustainable urban design with a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where her research focused on the transformation of vacant lots into community assets in South Baltimore and across the Rust Belt. She is passionate about how designers can partner with and learn from the lived experience of communities to reimagine underutilized spaces. Inspired by her experiences as a nature-based therapy guide, she is interested in exploring how spatial design can support biodiversity and facilitate connection in everyday life. A multimedia artist with a love for upcycling, she was drawn to the Sam Fox School’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and material experimentation.
Megan is a Sam Fox Ambassador.
