Hannah Butlak
Hannah Butlak earned a Bachelor of Science in earth and environmental sciences with a minor in visual strategy from Furman University. While at Furman, she researched the impacts of climate change on water availability, approaching my work through the dynamic relationships among societal, economic, and environmental systems. Motivated by this systems-based perspective, Butlak is interested in exploring how landscape architecture and urban design can help communities adapt to a changing climate. Through her work, she hopes to design spaces that contribute to hazard mitigation while demonstrating the importance of the natural systems we inhabit and depend upon.
Hannah is a Sam Fox Ambassador.
