Gustavo de Sousa

Gustavo de Sousa is a civil engineer and computational designer from southern Brazil, where he worked on structural projects, BIM coordination, and the supervision and maintenance of multi-family residential buildings. He has taught structural analysis and optimization at the graduate level in Brazil and published papers on computational design at international conferences. He also investigates how artificial intelligence and robotic fabrication can expand creative possibilities in architectural design. He is passionate about teaching and research in computational design in architecture, and about how data can deepen the decisions behind a project.
