Mitzy Belén González

Mitzy Belén González is an urban and architectural designer originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, whose work is driven by the dialogue between architecture, landscape, and urbanism responding to diverse cultural and environmental settings. She currently practices as a Designer at Overland International, where she contributes to planning and architectural projects ranging from professional sports and entertainment venues to large-scale master plans and visionary developments across the United States and internationally, including the winning competition for the new Spurs Arena in San Antonio, Texas.

González earned a Master of Architecture from Princeton University, where she received the 2022 Suzanne Kolarik Underwood Prize for her thesis, Reclamation on the Border. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and studied abroad at the Barcelona Architecture Center. Her work has been exhibited at the MAXXI Museum in Rome, and her design and research interests examine architecture as a mediator between social, cultural, and environmental systems through spatial design.
