Student Opportunities

If you are a current student at Washington University and are interested in working with Island Press in a work study position or as an intern, please reach out by email at islandpress@wustl.edu or stop by the print shop in Bixby Hall.

All Sam Fox School students are invited to participate and work with visiting artists when they are in residence, regardless of experience! There are at least two opportunities to sign up and volunteer each academic year, one in the fall and one in the spring.

In exchange for their participation during an artist’s residency, students are given a signed helper print made by the visiting artist.

Diane Victor’s black and white print has a female figure holding a basket with a dog inside on one hand and her other hand supports another figure she carries on her head.

Diane Victor’s helper print, titled She Carried It, 2018.
