Member and WashU Preview: African Modernism in America
Kemper Art Museum members and WashU faculty, staff, and students are invited to be among the first to view African Modernism in America, the first major traveling exhibition to examine the complex connections between among African artists and patrons, artists, and cultural organizations in the United States, amid the interlocking histories of civil rights, decolonization, and the Cold War.
Members are invited to enjoy complimentary drinks (two drink tickets per household).

The member & WashU preview will be followed by a panel discussion on collecting and exhibiting modern African art in Steinberg Auditorium at 5:30 pm and the public opening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
