Projects Featured: Mestiza x WUSTL Fashion Collaboration This project features nine designs inspired from the brand Mestiza New York. Students were mentored by Alessandra Perez-Rubio (Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer), Louisa Rechter Takacs (Co-Founder) and Raelyn Browning (Senior Design and Production Associate), who are all Washington University alumni. These dresses were designed, patterned and constructed in the Fashion Design Patternmaking and Production Course.
The Formalwear Gown Project This project features five formalwear gowns. Throughout this project, students were mentored by Paula Varsalona, Washington University alumna and owner, founder, and designer of Paula Varsalona LTD. These dresses were designed, patterned and constructed in the Fashion Design Advanced Patternmaking Course.
