Lecture: Brian Richter
Brian Richter—a designer, artist, and visiting assistant professor of architecture at the University of Kentucky—will deliver a public lecture, presented in collaboration with the Sam Fox School’s Fox Fridays workshop series. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
Richter’s research and creative scholarship focus on the merging of conceptual design principles and advanced digital practices. Since joining the faculty at the University of Kentucky, he has coordinated the redevelopment of the first-year undergraduate curriculum in the School of Architecture, introducing advanced digital toolsets and methodologies integral to contemporary practice. Prior to joining the design faculty, Richter worked for five-plus years in New York and Los Angeles for award-winning practices including Morphosis Architects, Bernard Tschumi Architects, Hollwich Kushner, and Lang Architecture. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Kentucky’s College of Design, School of Architecture where he was awarded the AIA Certificate of Merit and was exhibited in the 5th International Architecture Biennale (Making City) in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
