Fox Fridays Basics: Digital Rendering
Participants will use Tadao Ando’s Church of the Light as a tool to learn the basics of exterior rendering with V-Ray The workshop contains two parts, in Rhino and in Adobe Photoshop. In Rhino, we will cover Rhino basic settings, and render engine settings. In Photoshop, we will cover post-production basics.
No tools are required other than personal windows laptop. The Whitaker Learning Lab has Windows computers participants can use.
Takeaways: Students will take away one complete exterior rendering image.
Cross-disciplinary Connections: Bringing imagined spaces to life through renderings is a useful tool to quickly visualize a space. Artists and architects alike may use this as a cost-effective tool to create reference images for large- or small-scale objects and environments to better understand their objective.
