Fox Friday: Introduction to Picture Frame Making
Creating frames is a valuable skill for any artist or maker. In this workshop, student will learn how to create archival frames. Each student will make a frame for a 6x8 artwork. Students can bring in their own or one will be provided to them. We will discuss cutting the various woodworking joints and materials involved in making a frame.
Instructor: Christian is the Instructional Technician for the Givens Shop, bringing over a decade of woodworking experience and a passion for teaching since 2021. While woodworking is his main focus, he’s a lifelong learner who’s always exploring new materials and techniques. Since joining the Sam Fox School, he’s expanded his skills into metalworking, continuing to grow as both a maker and an educator.
