Fox Friday: Analog Animation
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to four hands-on methods of making 2D stop motion animation: paint, charcoal, sand, and cut paper. Working in pairs, students will have the opportunity to try 1-2 methods. We will collaborate as a group to make one continuous animation which moves from one method to the next. At the end of the workshop, participants will learn how to edit and compile their tactile images-in-motion using Lightroom and Premiere.
Instructor: Carmen Ribaudo is an artist who brings her studio into locations which flash quickly past her car window. She is the 2025-2025 Post-MFA Fellow and a Lecturer at Sam Fox.
