An Agriculture + Architecture Hootenanny
WashU, K-State, and The Land Institute invite you to join us for An Agriculture + Architecture Hootenanny. Have you ever been to a Hootenanny?! Are you wondering what an informal gathering of musicians and dancing has to do with Agriculture + Architecture? Read on for answers…
Much like an old-fashioned hootenanny, our Hootenanny is an informal gathering of talent and inspiration. Our musicians are collaborators, cultivators, and designers. Our music comes from sharing ideas and proposing solutions for a sustainable future, and we invite you to join us for a dance or two during presentations, pin-ups, and discussions of student work.
Schedule:
- 8:00 am -12:00 pm: Student Presentations
- 12:00-1:00 pm: Lecture with Rachel Stroer, president of The Land Institute
- 1:30-5:30 pm: Student Presentations
- 5:30-6:30 pm: Happy Hour
It’s an informal gathering, so drop-ins are permitted, but please be mindful of presentations and discussions in progress. Enter quietly, but feel free to come and go as you can!
All are welcome! Much like our global vision is a sustainable future for all, our vision for the Hootenanny is a day of learning for all. Bring your curiosity, and your dancing shoes, and join us for a congruence of community, creativity, and compelling collaboration!
