Introduction to TouchDesigner
“In a woodworking workshop built for everyone, students will use: a dado blade on a table saw, a mortise machine, as well as hand tools including chisels, saws, and layout tools. Learning safe use of both machine and hand tools, students will understand the basics of wood joinery as well as a brief history of Eastern vs. Western wood craft. At the end of this class, students will take home a Japanese-style toolbox which can be used for storage, to ship artwork, as a unit for display, or as an aesthetic object by itself.”
Instructor: Amelia and Christian are Instructional Technicians in Sam Fox. Christian has extensive woodworking experience, having led courses at both the Craft Alliance and MADE Makerspace. Amelia is a compulsive multi-hyphenate with experience in printmaking and museum installation.
